Where is Sakura Lounge?
We have found a quiet spot in the heart of the CBD. Tucked away on street level down one of Melbourne’s iconic laneways, Warburton Lane, we have found some serenity within the bustling city of Melbourne. Enter the laneway off Little Bourke Street, between Elizabeth and Queen Streets, and look up for the suspended chandelier between the laneway buildings and you have found us!
Do you have a Couples Room?
Yes! We have a beautiful tatami couples room, which is separated by our Japanese sliding Fusuma doors. To share your experience together please request this room when you make your booking.
What about Parking?
There is a Wilson 24 hour car park (enter off Hardware lane and Bourke Street) just near to us. Other than that there is street parking on Little Bourke as well as Queen Streets closeby.
What facilities do you have?
We have a relaxing overhead rainwater shower head which is great to warm up your tired muscles before a treatment. We also have a waiting room where we serve tea and Japanese sweets while you wait.
Can I use my private health insurance when I receive a treatment?
Yes, if your health plan gives you a benefit for remedial massage we can provide you with a remedial therapist, but advance notice is required. Please advise the receptionist of your health fund when you are making your booking.
Do you have HICAPS?
Yes! For our remedial massage and selected holistic services customers can claim their rebates upfront using our HICAPS system. All you will pay is the gap as per your health plan.
Are your staff Japanese?
Yes, most of our staff are Japanese professionals, trained in modalities such as shiatsu and Seitai massage. Many also combine this with Western training in remedial and deep tissue massage producing a truly unique experience when you visit Sakura Lounge.
