Do you have HICAPS?
Yes! For our remedial and shiatsu massage and selected holistic services customers can claim their rebates upfront using our HICAPS system. All you will pay is the gap as per your health plan. Please mention you would like to use your health fund at the time of booking as the correct therapist needs to be allocated to your booking.
Can I Use HICAPS For Package Bookings?
Unfortunately the answer for this is no. HICAPS is for the use of single session treatments with specialist therapists for Remedial massage. Your Remedial therapist can also do shiatsu and other massage styles they are trained in and allow you to claim your treatment but not towards package treatments which are generally performed by other staff. Our packages are great value and have large discounts built in, please save your HICAPS rebates for single session treatments.
Are your staff Japanese?
Yes, most of our staff are Japanese female professionals (male Japanese Shiatsu and Seitai therapists are also available upon request), trained in modalities such as shiatsu and Seitai massage and Japanese Beauty treatments. Many also combine this with Western training in remedial and deep tissue massage producing a truly unique experience when you visit Sakura Lounge.
Confirming your booking
Once you have made your booking with us you should receive an SMS reminder a few days before your booking is due. Pease supply us with the best mobile phone number to send your reminder to. If you do not receive your SMS reminder or there is an error in the booking time or date please call us ASAP to correct the problem. We welcome anyone giving us a quick call or email just to check your booking is 100% correct. We strive to have procedures in place to detect errors and correct them to ensure our customers are always happy but from time to time our reception gets extremely busy and there can be some miscommunication or human mistake made. A quick phone call to check your booking can rectify this in advance of your booking.
How do Deposits Work?
For group bookings or any booking over $145 (this includes all packages) we will ask for a 10% deposit (25% for SPA bookings) to secure your booking. This can be paid after the date and time is confirmed and agreed with our reception staff to be available for you. Payment of the deposit can ba made via credit card over the phone, over the counter at our spa or now you can also pay directly through our website at the bottom of the contact us page. If paying over the website please send through an email to our reception to confirm that the payment has been made so we can secure your booking. We are happy to hold spots for up to 72 hours once you have told us you want the booking and will pay deposit, but cannot hold your spot for any longer than this and need to open that spot for other customers.
Our deposits are refundable with changes or cancellations with more than 24 hours notice at Sakura Lounge. Please note for group bookings of 3 or more people we require up to 72 hours (3 days) notice to refund your deposit. This is due to the large amount of resources, staff and other organisation required for large bookings.
We also give SMS reminders leading up to your booking if you have given us your mobile number as a contact but it is also good to call us if unsure and double check your appointment.
What is the maximum booking size for group bookings?
We can accommodate up to 3 people for packages at the same time at Sakura Lounge. For larger groups we now have Sakura Spa, direclty above Sakura Lounge, for which groups of up to 6 people can book packages togther. Our Spa Party Package is fantastic for largter groups and you can add extras such as champagne and Sushi Platters to extend our stay.
Arrival time?
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled start time, especially if it is your first visit with us as there is a client health form and other formalities to conduct before your treatments start. If customers are exceptionally late we cannot cut short the following treatments so please note your treatments may be shortened accordingly.
What if I am pregnant?
We have a range of fully qualified therapists who can perform pregnancy massage and this can be a single massage treatment or act as part of one of our packages. If you are pregnant please advise us at the time of booking so we can allocate the correct therapist to your booking. It is very important you let us know you are pregnant before your treatment otherwise a pregnancy therapist may not be available for you on the day of your booking.
We do not recommend pregnancy massage during the first trimester. Please consult your doctor if you are unsure as to receiving a massage at your current stage of pregnancy.
Gift Voucher Expiry?
All of our gift vouchers, weather bought through our website or over the counter, carry a 12 month expiry, giving your freind or loved one plenty of time to enjoy their treatment at Sakura Lounge. If there is an unforseen circumstance leading up to the expiry date we are always as felxible as we can be to extend the expiry date to make sure the voucher can be redeemed. Also, if a booking is made before the expiry but the treatment is after the expiry date, this is OK with us.
No Show Policy?
If you have made a booking with us we ask that you show us curtesy to inform us of any changes or cancellations well in advance of your booking. In the event that you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we require at least 24 hours notice (72 hours for SPA bookings) so that we can rebook your allocated spot.
Please note: Once booked your time with us is allocated and no other bookings can be taken. For this reason all SPA packages require a 25% deposit via credit card which is non-refundable for cancellations less than 72 hours before your treatmement. For no show appointments your appointment cannot be filled and full payment will be dedcuted from your credit card.
